Well, it’s safe to say I’ve been suffering with a little writer’s block over the last couple of months of 2018. I guess, to be fair to myself, it’s more a case of the madness of the Christmas lead up mixed with a big focus over on my YouTube channel that’s really taken its toll on my blog writing. My blog will always have a special place in my heart, it was born while I was pregnant with my eldest son, almost 6 years ago! I will always write here because it’s wonderful to have a corner of the internet to call my own, to share our adventures and a place to show my photos, but I might start to share less word-heavy posts, just so I can keep up with it and share with you some of my favourite things that have happened without putting pressure on myself to spend hours researching and writing.

So, with that in mind I thought I would dedicate tonight’s post to sharing some of my favourite things of 2018, I absolutely love looking back at our photos and I love having this platform as a place to do so.

Enjoying the snow as a family of 4 and bringing out my vintage 1980’s sledge!

Taking the boys to visit my Nanny’s grave and showing them the village where their Nana grew up for a gorgeous snowdrop walk.

The boys still having so much fun in the snow, in March!

Finally getting rid of our 20+ year old shed and the boys getting involved in building the new one!

Becoming ambassadors for Konfidence and taking the children to Alton Towers for their joint-Birthday.

A simple walk with family and lots of trips to the beach.

Taking Croatia by storm for Lucie’s hen do.

Working with Royal Caribbean and taking the children on their first cruise ship!

Going on our first bike ride as a family and reaffirming that I cannot ride a bike!!

Our annual strawberry picking day out with family, I am really missing the summer!

Our first family festival at Camp Bestival.

Taking the children to France with my Mum and adventuring to Paris with them.

The absolute highlight of our year, working with Walt Disney World and taking my family to the happiest place on earth!!

Seeing my bestie get married and be there to celebrate them.

Autumnal walks with the family, watching the joy on the boys faces discovering conkers and woodland treasures.

Changing my hair colour for the 4th time in a year!!

Working with Isle Of Man tourism and discovering how beautiful the IOM is!

Being able to see all 5 Kingdoms of the United Kingdom!! Breathtaking.

Watching the bond between these 2 little boys grown and grow throughout 2018, it makes my heart burst with joy.

Filming more look books for my YouTube channel and developing my photography skills.

So, what a fantastic year it’s been! We are so lucky. We have all been in good health in 2018 and I am grateful for all of these wonderful experiences that I’ve shared with family and friends. We have a lot of travel organised for 2019 so watch this space to find out more and have a look at today’s video if you want to hear my 2019 resolutions! Happy New year to you all and thank you so much for being a part of this online space with me! Lara xx

January 3, 2019Looks like a lovely year, I’m missing the summer too! As much as I love the cosy winter nights, I do enjoy being able to get out more without the coats, raincovers, hats, gloves and everything else the cold weather brings!
Happy New Year!
