FRUGAL HABITS TO LIVE BY

Set up automatic payments – no late fees and great for credit rating!

Reuse – only throw it out if it’s unusable or unfixable!

Go for walks, park dates and picnics rather than big over-priced days out.

Sell your skills – such as music lessons over Zoom!

Walk to school rather than drive, or drive half way.

Become a minimalist – this can save so much money and helps you live with less!

Invest your money – I use Trading 212 which is super easy to use – use this link to sign up with just £1 and you will get a free share worth up to £200 – you don’t need to put more than a pound in and you get FREE MONEY, catch free. I have shared a full video to show how this works if you’re new to investing.

Utilise your library – they even do magazines and audio books!

Trade your services for cash – good at gardening or cleaning?

Make your own cleaning products – water + vinegar + essential oils!

Shop at discount stores like Poundland and Home Bargains. Loads of videos on my channel sharing shop walk arounds!

Cloth nappies & wipes – invest in the short term, save long term!

Hang your clothes to dry them rather than use the tumble dryer.

Live below your means – just because you earn more, doesn’t mean you should spend more!

Use sites like Compare The Market to do price comparisons and make sure you get the best prices

Make meals from scratch!

Use up your products before buying new!

Budget! Especially good when budgeting for Christmas, but create your budget and stick to it.

Try not to pay for subscription services such as beauty boxes or magazines.

Buy your vehicle second hand and with cash that you’ve saved up for rather than on high APR finance.

Save every £2 coin you receive!

Meal plan, meal plan, meal plan. I could go on about this for days! (loads of videos here.)

Eat less meat – a meat free day a week could save you a hundred pounds a year on food!

Don’t order take out!

Go thrifting! Lots of thrift with me videos over on my channel!

Have an emergency fund – this is more important this year than ever before!

Always look to buy used or preowned rather than brand new! (especially for toys!)

Bring your own food – Pack your lunch, picnic, coffee etc!

Set financial goals and congratulate yourself when you hit them!

Try to quit smoking or drinking excessively! I know this is easier said than done but £10 for a packet of cigarettes?!?! WTF.

If you found these frugal habits to live by interesting why not share it with someone who’d appreciate it?
